Milk Bar

Milk Bar Opens at Cosmopolitan

Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar opens at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas…

Back in July, I was excited for the future opening of Milk Bar at The Cosmopolitan. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and Milk Bar has finally opened. Overall, it’s difficult to find a consensus on what people think about it. I’ve heard things like “meh” and “it’s ok” and “three dollars for a f**king cookie?!” Maybe I’ll avoid the cookies.

There are other things to try, though, like Cereal Milk, Crack Pie, Cake Truffles, Milk Quakes and the like.

Christina Tosi is the head chef and owner; she founded the Momofuku dessert programs before opening the first Milk Bar in 2008. She is an author of two books and is a judge on the series MasterChef.

Here’s a blurb from Cosmopolitan’s Milk Bar website:

“Along with menu highlights such as Cake Truffles and Birthday Cake, the Las Vegas location of Milk Bar features exclusive menu items available only at The Cosmopolitan, including MilkQuakes, which blend housemade soft serve with delicious sweet bites, adding texture and out-of-this-world flavor combinations. MilkQuakes flavors include Strawberry & Corn, Crack Pie, Bkfst,  B’day Cake, and Sweet Potato Pie. Also exclusive to The Cosmopolitan location are alcohol-infused Fancy Shakes. Original varieties include the Cereal Milk White Russian, Fancy Fruity Shake, and the Fancy Chocolate Malt Cake Shake.”

Our tipster paperposter stopped by, here’s what he had to say:

“Cookies are $3 each, 6 cookies for $17. The cookies are not that good. I’ve tasted a lot better. The prices were pretty cheap, but written on a board and not on their menu. There was a pretty long line.”

Milk Bar is open daily from 9 am – 2 am on Level 2 of the Cosmopolitan. See the official site here.
