Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey - Reunited

“Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey – Reunited” in Residency at SLS

SNL alum Carvey and Lovitz in multi-weekend residency at SLS.

Two former Saturday Night Live stars remembered for their characters The Church Lady, Garth, Hans (of Hans and Frans), The Master Thespian, the Pathological Liar (and much more) reunite for multiple weekends at SLS Las Vegas. The show is entitled: Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey – Reunited.

The Foundry Room is the hosting venue for the residency. Here’s how the show is described on their site:

“Known for immortalizing such popular characters as “The Church Lady,” “Master Thespian” and “Garth,” the long-time friends are bringing their hysterical antics to Las Vegas. To top off the unforgettable evening, guests have the unique opportunity to interact with Lovitz and Carvey during a no-holds-barred Q&A session.”

Reviews after opening night have been mixed, suggesting that it still needs some tweaking. Negative review here from Las Vegas Weekly, while on the other side of the media-spectrum Robin Leach raved about it over here at LVRJ.

Our very own tipster paperposter was in attendance for the opening, here’s what he had to say:

“Great show, it was around and hour 40 minutes. They did solo acts as well as combined acts before taking questions from the audience. It was a very fun night of
comedy, impersonations, everyhting you would expect from the two. They also re-enacted some of thier old characters. Also, I like the Foundry Room better for seated shows than for concerts.”

Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey – Reunited runs across multiple weekends through October 2017. Show dates: Feb. 3-4, March 17-18, March 31-April 1; June 31 and July 1-4; Sept. 1-2; Oct. 6-7; Oct. 27-28. For tickets, go to foundrlv.com or slslasvegas.com.
