Strip Bits: Bally’s CVS Construction Progress
Because there just aren’t enough pharmacy chains on the strip (sarcasm) we’re checking in on the CVS at Bally’s Grand Bazaar. The new CVS will be a two-story, 20,000-square-foot retail and pharmacy. Our tipster paperposter sent us this image:
Compared to how it looked last month:
There are other CVS strip locations by Aria and Treasure Island. Now, let’s also not forget how many Walgreens there are on the strip…
The strip is certainly starting to look like Pharma City, yet at the same time you can replenish your vacation stock (you know, the beer, water and snacks you store in your room) at pretty good prices. A necessary evil, we think.

I agree about the necessary evil thing….I think it ads convenience at an affordable price in a city that may over charge you on some things you’d rather not pay such a hefty price! I.E.-bottled water, chips, snacks, 6 packs, toiletries, etc…
I hate the proliferation of drug stores almost as much as the costumed characters. They are ruining the vibe of The Strip.
Oh look ANOTHER drug store on the strip.
*Sigh*
I wouldn’t be too be depressed about this if this wasn’t just another thing taking away from themes of Vegas….
Well technically it is adding a theme to Vegas…
Strip Mall
Runn a necessary evil indeed, in hindsight, though, maybe there doesn’t need to be SO many of them. The costumed characters, Paul, I can’t agree more. Brian, if I had to choose I’d say losing the original Denny’s facade for the Walgreen’s probably hurt a bit more than losing Sirens of T.I. lol
its not that bad folks. I mean what else are they going to build? u forget that all of these drug stores are packed all the time! the one by casino royale and the other by venetian always has a line
Does anyone know the closest CVS that is considered off-strip and will honor the weekly flyer and get CVS bonus $$$? Last time I drove to one by Hard Rock one for an amazing deal in the flyer but this was still considered an on-strip location. :-(
