Two New Hotels Coming To Former Golden Palm Site

Two new hotels being erected off-strip with… wait for it… FREE PARKING!

This past March we broke the story of a new hotel and possibly a new casino at the site of the former Golden Palm Hotel and Casino [read here], west of the Interstate-15 and just south of the In-N-Out Burger. Vegas Bright photographer Greg C. visited the construction site, exactly 1-year after the Golden Palm was demolished, and captured images of not one, but two new hotels being built from the ground up.

Located at 3111 West Tropicana Avenue, the original Golden Palm Hotel and Casino shuttered on March 12, 2007, after losing its unrestricted gaming license a few years prior. Rather than attempt to develop the vacant land on his own, owner Marvin Lipschultz has partnered with hotel mogul and real estate developer Gary Tharaldson to build two new off-strip lodging options. The two new hotels, Home2 Suites and TownePlace Suites, will be within walking distance to the Las Vegas strip, T-Mobile Arena, and the soon to be constructed Raiders stadium.

The two new hotels will operate independently of each other but share a common 3-story, 160-space parking garage with FREE PARKING! Home2 Suites will be a 5-story tower with 135-guestrooms within 79,000-ft²; TownePlace will tip the scales at 5-stories, with 113-guestrooms and 66,000-ft². The expected completion date for both hotel projects is fall 2018.
