Trip Report: Blonde4ever’s Perfect Halloween 2016 Trip – Part 4
Blonde4ever shares Part 4 of her Las Vegas Trip Report from October of 2016…
My roommate and I got off to a slow start today. That is one of the pleasures of having a long trip; you don’t feel like you have to dash anywhere. Sometimes you just want to wallow in the luxury of lying in bed, drinking coffee and updating the world on your fabulous Vegas trip on Facebook.
When we finally gathered up the energy to get dressed, we decided to go downstairs and give Bally’s an hour of play. I almost forgot that Bally’s had given me thirty dollars of Free Play. I wandered around trying to decide what game to spend it on. I often find that I seem to do well on new machines where I have absolutely no clue what is happening. I have never watched the TV show Game of Thrones, but there was gigantic slot by that name, so I sat down to play. It seemed to be bonus-ing frequently at the minimum bet, so I bumped it up to a dollar a spin, and immediately the bonuses stopped. I dropped back down to fifty cents, and they started up again. Isn’t that always the way? I stayed on that machine for an hour and quit when I was twenty dollars ahead.
I met up with Kodi in the hallway between Bally’s and Paris at Burger Brasserie where we had decided to have lunch. We have been here before and always enjoyed our meals. They had given me a discount coupon at check in so that helped cinch the deal. I had their yummy chicken salad, and Kodi enjoyed the lamb burger. The complete Vegas Bright article about that meal is here.
After eating, we went back to the room and packed up some things to take with us for our afternoon spa session. It took a few emails from home, but I finally ascertained that the use of the Bally’s spa facilities such as the whirlpools, steam room, sauna, and showers is included in your resort fee. We walked down there and spent a lovely few hours steam bathing, whirlpool-tubbing, and just chill-laxing.
Our trip to the spa is described HERE.
After the spa, we proceeded back to our room to get dolled up for the evening as we had a dinner date with Mr. Royal Flusher (of RoyalFlusherVegas.com fame) and his wife, the Quad Queen. After we had got as glamourous as we could manage, we Lyfted down to the Second Street Grill at the Fremont hotel. This was my first visit to Second Street Grill, and I enjoyed both the food and the company enormously. Thanks again Flusher! The complete review of that meal is here.
After dinner, we played for a bit at Binion’s because I love the fact that they have nickel-slant top video poker. Upright machines are so uncomfortable! When our eyelids started to droop, we took our leave of the Flusher family and attempted to locate WIFI on Kodi’s phone to summon another Lyft to return to our hotel. For some reason, we weren’t finding any either on Fremont Street or at the Golden Nugget, but the Plaza saved us. You can always count on their WIFI to be reliable. Finally, our Lyft chariot arrived and took us back home to Bally’s and our beds.
To be continued next week.

I always seem to win more money by accident than I ever did on purpose……
Indeed. Me too. LOL Thanks for reading.
Once again, your article is a feast not only for the eyes, but the part of me that yearns for Vegas when I’m not there!
Thanks for the kind words Brendon!
“Perfect Halloween” trip has made no mention of Halloween in four entries! Okay, not everyone is as Halloween-enamoured as I am, but I keep hoping to hear mention of Halloween decor, shows, specialty drinks…but maybe I’m very young for my advanced age. But you’re right about the bonuses; the old rule about them increasing with the size of the bet no longer seems to apply. Except when it does.
Ha ha…you are very observant. I swear I get to Halloween eventually! I decided to do this drawn out Trip Report because I was running out of topics until I visit Vegas again. (Soon!) It is hard when you live so far away from the place you want to write about.
