Frankie Moreno New Headliner at Planet Hollywood

Frankie Moreno has announced that he will be a new headliner at Planet Hollywood. The announcement came during a concert at the Smith Center.

The new show named for his current tour “Under the Influence,” is set to open April 20th. Tickets at Ticketmaster range from $41 to $96 bucks. Although, other sites say $33 to $68 at Ticketmaster. But we checked, so.

Frankie’s plan is to capture vintage Vegas without it being vintage.

Here’s what Frankie had to say per this article:

“I’ve done a lot of Frank Sinatra specials, and you learn that the music is of the moment. It has nothing to do with the music; it’s the way it was done. I don’t even have to play a Sinatra song. I mean I do and an Elvis song, but if I didn’t play that, you still see the hint of them.”

His girlfriend, Dancing with The Star’s Lacey Schwimmer will choreograph the show and dance. They will also get the ten piece band involved in the routine, but it’ll be more movement than dance for the band members. Kinda like back in the day with the big bands would be movin’ to the music.

Another Frankie quote on the new show from another article:

“We’re treating each song like a Billboard Music Awards performance, it’ll be played like a concert, but this will be a true residency with a lot of production and choreography.”

Portions of the Planet Hollywood Showroom will be curtained off with the seating reduced to about 8oo seats (from 1400, for now).
