The Classic Burger from Snacks at Bellagio

“This isn’t White Castle, right?” I said to my wife after I sat down with my Classic Burger from Snacks at Bellagio. I just took my first picture of this burger when my wife handed me a quarter to use as a size reference. I guess we expected something bigger, a more robust-looking burger. A burger that not only looked like it would hit the spot but, beat the f$#@ out of it for good measure. Kind of like an I <3 Burgers burger. I immediately assumed it wouldn’t taste good, without trying it, just saying “this is gonna suck” in my mind as I was looking at it. Admittedly, I was wrong.

This burger is very, very good! Just as good on the last bite as it was the first. Cooked perfectly, flavors mingling, but it didn’t hit the spot. Don’t let the size fool you (like it did, me) this little burger is packed with flavor. I was pleasantly surprised with its taste. However, I didn’t feel like I had enough. Granted, of all the burgers on the SNACKS menu, the Classic Burger is the most under-garnished of them all. In hindsight, I should have added a side, like the huge onion rings. Back in December, we ran a story on the SNACKS remodel, re-brand and re-menu. I wondered if the big changes may have downsized the food, but there were plenty of patrons around with much meatier looking burgers, pizza and wings. SNACKS always had good reviews before the re-everything. Next time, I’m going for the wings, and fries.

Due to the small size of the burger, my wife and I jokingly refer to SNACKS as “MORSELS.” We even gave it a slogan. “MORSELS: leaves you wanting MOR ” ™

A good thing did come out of my appetite not being met. On our way back to the hotel, I spotted Marash Turkish Ice Cream at Bally’s Grand Bazaar shop. Not only did it give us the little extra something we needed to satisfy our appetites, but the Turkish Ice Cream was also delicious. My wife said the Chocolate Hazelnut tasted like Nutella. I had the Vanilla, and I could taste the Vanilla Bean. The texture was thick and creamy, and the ice cream itself is made with goat’s milk. A pleasant surprise to finish out our day.

  1. $15.41 for a small burger and iced tea??!! no wonder I quit going to the strip. that is worse than airport fast food prices.
