A Very Vegas Christmas: Giardini Garden Store
Giardini Garden Store has some very lavish stocking–and cabinet–stuffers.
Welcome to installment number 5 of A Very Vegas Christmas. Today we’ll have a look at Giardini Garden Store at the Bellagio.
I’m not surprised to find yet another good Christmasy feeling at the Bellagio. Just off of the epically-Christmas Bellagio Conservatory is the Giardini Garden Store. An airy place for gifts and home decor throughout the year, Giardini brings the holidays in a way that can only be rivaled on New York’s 5th Avenue. This time of year, along with their regular offerings, Giardini offers a spectacle of ornaments, decorations, nick-nacks, doo-dads, mantle pieces,…just name it. If it exists, it’s Christmas related, and it’s more than $40 bucks… you can find it here.
While at Giardini’s, I learned something valuable. If you take your regular run-of-the-mill nutcracker from any pharmacy and add glitter to it, the value jumps up by $25.
Maybe one day I’ll get an expensive ornament from here, one day. I’m not going to say that I wasn’t sticker-shocked by some of the prices. I was. However, if you’re a person who enjoys dropping down $45 for a single Christmas ornament, have at it. What I liked most about Giardini isn’t so much the ornaments as it is the decorations for around the house: the little snowman to stick in an entrance way, the polar bear for scaring the shit out of your dog.
All jokes aside, I think it’s just as much fun to look at things here as it might be to buy something. The place just has a way of hitting all the right notes!
