Boxes of Doom: Parking Meters Arrive at LINQ

LINQ Parking Meters have arrived…

*collective moan and sigh*

Parking Meters are ready to be installed at LINQ as Caesars Entertainment is moving ahead with their paid parking plans, we told you all about it here. Our tipster paperposter got these pics:

For more info, you can visit Caesars Entertainment’s dedicated parking site if it’s working. At the time of writing this article, their site was down. These meters arrive one month shy of a year when MGM’s Parking meters arrived at NYNY.

I’d write more on this, but, I’m pressed for time. If anything, take this humble word of advice. Do NOT spend too much time on the entrance level.

  1. Soo disappointing. It reminds me of Sammasseurs “Is Sin City determined to drive you away” rant. I’m curious to see how this will affect business. It wont really affect my travels tho, i usually use Uber/Bus/Taxi to get around.

  2. Caesars has some of the worst parking facilities in the city. Flamingo and LINQ are the worst offenders. Poorly-maintained, never painted, urine odors, malfunctioning elevators, convoluted designs and inconvenient access. The idea of paying for the right to use them is a punch in the face. I’ll most definitely be scaling back my visits to their restaurants and shows. Not sure how they’re going to pull this off at Planet Hollywood, where hotel parking is shared with the entire Miracle Mile mall. Do they expect shoppers to pay for parking as well? Yeah, that’ll work.

  3. I’m no longer a rental car guy, but this still surprises me. Makes me wonder what else every casino company wants to do but is waiting for the competition to do first so they can just follow suit.
    That flood is crazy.

    1. Interesting thing is those floods have been happening for years. Youtube is loaded with them, just search for LINQ Flood and also Imperial Palace Flood
