From the press release:

…with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor. The famed Wizard World Comic Con Las Vegas Costume Contest will take place on Saturday night.

  1. Perfect timing, another sub-par event to screw with a major Vegas weekend like NCAA Basketball tournament opening rounds. This event will only screw with room rates. Attention Attention SciFi nerds! Please save up your money for San Diego comic con. This event is in no way a pop culture extravaganza, its a sad attempt to make money by marginalizing the San Diego event. You will not see major celebrities, trailers, etc. Your better waiting a few weeks and going to the bar and nightclub trade show, and they ply you with free booze. You can now go back to watching Dr. Who
