Rumor: Toshiba Park to be New Name of MGM The Park
Rumor has it, Toshiba Park will be the new name of MGM The Park. Which, if true, would be great. Considering, that almost anything would be a better name than MGM The Park. The Toshiba Park naming is just a rumor, and nothing has been confirmed except people hearing things and seeing something and then telling me about it under the advice that it may not be fully fleshed out. That’s why it’s a rumor, or, at least, an idea and a sketch somewhere. Speaking of an idea and a sketch, “Idea and a Sketch” Park is still a better name than MGM The Park.
The Toshiba Park name is not to be confused with Toshiba Plaza.
Toshiba Plaza will consist of the two acres immediately outside the T-Mobile Arena, and will have a stage for outdoor venues. The plaza will also feature technology that will scan visitors faces for age and gender to determine which ads should display within the Arena. It was always the plan to have Toshiba’s name on the plaza, but as for having its name on The Park, only time will tell. We don’t usually post rumors here at VegasBright.
