MOST MEMORABLE VEGAS MOMENTS OF 2015

How SLS managed to have 80,000 people across the street for Rock in Rio, and couldn’t manage a discernible bump in room occupancy or restaurant/gaming revenue for that weekend. Bad management can’t even properly take care of a baby dropped on its doorstep.

I hate to say it but the Cosmo pool fire.
– GREG BENNETT

Just because it’s so fresh in my mind, the Miss Universe 2015 debacle with Steve Harvey mixing up the lineup between Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines. I can’t imagine how Miss Colombia must have felt to have the award pulled from her, but she did handle it with a grace that I completely respect.

 PAPERPOSTER

– MICHAEL MOVESTRO

Again–Riviera closing after 60 years…..one of the last icons of old-school Vegas Strip.

The almost-instantaneous shuttering of Duck Commander Musical. Vegas shows based on “reality” TV programs are a bad enough idea. But a musical salute to wealthy country-clubbers who masquerade in hillbilly drag while spouting racism, religious extremism, and homophobia? At least, the awful “Pawn Stars Live” was wise enough to spoof their ridiculous source material. Shame on you, Rio, forever allowing this garbage within your walls. Having it close so quickly was a reason to cheer.
