Burger Review: Brunch Burger at Bobby’s Burger Palace

Michael Movestro returns for a review of Bobby’s Burger Palace

Hey Peeps! Recently I was in Las Vegas for Zorkfest/Podcasters After Dark and 360 Vegas Vacation 6 and was hankering to get a burger review under my belt. I was going about my day, taking a quick ride on the Aria tram without any real plan, and then it happened. The doors opened, and on the wall, I saw a non-descript advert outside the doors for Bobby’s Burger Palace. I was heading to Bellagio but inspiration struck…Burger Review!

Bobby’s Burger Palace is located out in front of Mandarin Oriental, which I wasn’t aware of as I walked all around Crystals until I whipped out my phone and looked for directions. Nonetheless, turns out it was worth the trip. When you walk into Bobby’s Burger Palace and make your way to the line, the menu is right there on the wall so you should know what to order by the time you get to the cashier.

After looking at all the selections, I chose the Brunch Burger. Simplistic… a fried egg, bacon and American cheese. I placed my order at the counter, they gave me a placard with a number on it so they can bring my food to me when it’s done. I was mucking about on Twitter and in no time, the Brunch Burger arrived.

awwwwww yeahhhh

Bobby’s meat has thickness and girth. Get your mind out of the gutter.

Look at it. Right off the bat, this burger was visually appealing. Bacon not overdone, the meat is smothered in cheese, a fried egg just right, and a bun that doesn’t try to be the center of attention. When I bit in for the first bite, I knew there was more than meets the eye. This wasn’t just a patty with stuff added on top, there was a flavor in the meat, seasoned to perfection without taking away from the rest of the burger but to work in unison with it’s complimenting cheese, bacon and the fried egg. It was a moment where “oh my god” was spoken during the first couple of bites.

This had the experience I always look for in a burger, where the last bite is just as good as the first. It was filling, the fried egg wasn’t too drippy, everything about the Brunch Burger hit the spot and the mark as far as burgers go and I will no doubt experience this burger again on my next trip.

  1. Awesome! I’m definitely adding this to my Vegas list, The Dallas burger is calling my name lol

  2. Oh I will have to get the wife over here….spotted the blue cheese w/bacon for her. But what really gets us will be the experiment with buttermilk batter onion rings with ranch sauce. Since Pink’s is closing up at PH this will have to do for our Onion Ring fix unless we splurge and hit up GR Burger at PH for those tasty but expensive Onion Ring morsels. I’ve seen the sign and it just does NOT register in my head for some reason…colors maybe? Hopefully that stays as Mandarin Oriental becomes a Waldorf Astoria in the near future.

      1. Exactly, and a Mint Chocolate Shake missed that on the menu at first glance!!!! Great find and so nice to see you back on here!!! Welcome back!!!

  3. Welcome back, Michael. I was starting to think this site was dead. Glad to see you’re still around!

How does the Brunch Burger compare to the Gold Standard Burger over at Holsteins? Thanks to your review of that burger I stop by there and order that one every time I’m in Vegas now.

    1. Hi Glenn, LasVegasJunkie is in the process of moving to and settling in to Las Vegas. When all is done he will get back to VB. I just popped in to write this article while it was fresh in my mind. I also did some work on articles in the backlog from Michael James and Gennadius and they are scheduled to post next week. I’m not “back” perse, just checking in. For comparing the Brunch Burger to the Gold Standard, I feel they are two different burgers, two different flavors and styles to make an honest comparison. I can tell you both of these burgers are on my “definitely have it again” list, if that helps :)

      1. Thanks, Michael. I’ll definitely check out the Brunch Burger the next time I’m in Vegas. Even though you’re not technically “back,” it’s nice to know you’re still around and checking in once in a while!

  4. Good to see I wasn’t the only one with withdrawal. Stoked either way to see an article from someone

  5. Thank you for the review — next time in Vegas [hopefully this Fall if all goes well — I’m healing from back surgery last month], I’ll be adding this burger to the list of places to EAT! Go Golden Knights!!

  6. Good to see an article from you again, Michael! Thanks for scheduling some of the pending articles as well. Hopefully we’ll see you around relatively regularly once LasVegasJunkie gets all settled in.

Beyond that, glad to see your other ventures doing well, and continued success!

  8. Hi Michael! Thanks for reviving the site and thanks to all the other readers clamoring for love at this great site! Your submission were gravely missed. Need to get back to Vegas by Sept for the annual trip; perhaps I should finally put together and submit my trip report from last year’s trip?

And a brunch burger sounds and looks tasty!
