Dining Review: Andrea’s Impossible Burger Sliders

After reading multiple articles and reviews from some of my favorite Las Vegas websites my wife and I decided to make reservations at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award-winning restaurant Andrea’s located inside of Encore Resort. The reasoning behind selecting Andrea’s was to sink our teeth into the new Impossible Burger, a burger that contains 0% cow.

Impossible Foods was founded in 2011 and according to their website:

“The Impossible Burger uses a fraction of the Earth’s natural resources”. Containing no cholesterol, antibiotics, or hormones and requiring 95% less land than their cow counterparts the Impossible Burger is a “delicious game changer”.

My wife and I had reservations for Monday at 8:00 pm over the long Memorial Weekend; we showed up about an hour early and grabbed a couple of drinks at the bar before checking in with the host and being seated at our table. Our server, who’s name I can’t remember, gave my wife and I some of the best service we have experienced in a restaurant in a very long time. From the way they carefully pour the water into your glass ensuring not the tiniest splash of water gets on you or the table or the way they refold the dinner napkin each time you get up, the service was impeccable.

I’ll spare you with the boring details of a full on meal review of everything else we ordered and skip straight to the good stuff, the Impossible Burger. We decided that only one of us should order the Impossible Burger in slider form and the other one of us get something completely different just in case we could not stomach the taste of the burgers. Man were we wrong, we concluded that we could have easily polished off two plates of Impossible Burgers Sliders and been completely satisfied. Made from natural ingredients like wheat, potatoes, water, heme, and soy the burger looks, cooks, bleeds, and best of all taste just like lean ground beef.

The patties arrived on a long hot griddle that helped keep the remaining patties warm as we stuffed our face. The sliders consist of frisee, kimchee, cucumber, and come with two sauces, a kalbi glaze, and gochujang aioli. In my opinion, the Impossible Burger is the closest thing available to an authentic beef patty and the flavor, taste, and texture will not leave carnivores disappointed.

For those of you who are curious as to what else my wife and I ordered for Dinner; I had the Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras which was to die for and I wish I could eat ever day of my life and we split an order of the Chef’s Special Composed Sushi that also was very delicious.

Also, when booking the reservation on OpenTable I wrote in the special request section that we were celebrating our 10-year anniversary (honestly, who doesn’t do that?) and were given two complimentary post-dinner cake-pops. The brown cake-pop with sprinkles was your standard chocolate cake and the green cake-pop with swirls was key lime pie.

Cake pops

My wife doesn’t have a sweet-tooth so I was able to inhale them both. Both cake-pops were very good, extremely rich, and satisfying. My favorite was the key lime pie cake-pop.

  1. I didn’t even know these sliders existed! As a massive burger fan, I’m definitely going to try them next time I’m in town. Added bonus: I’ve never been to Encore, so I can also check that out when I’m there!

  2. DaWell – I definitely recommend you checking them out if you have the time. I made a reservation but the restaurant and bar area were never busy so I am sure you can walk in and sit down with only a few minutes of wait. I’ve only been to Encore and Wynn a handful of times, not really my style but it was nice to sit back and people watch all the drunkies walking in from the Encore Beach Club.
