2016 Bellagio Conservatory Holiday Show

All Aboard! The 2016 Bellagio Conservatory Holiday Show (Pics and Video)

Bellagio Conservatory’s 2016 Holiday Show is in full ‘warm and fuzzy’ effect…

On December 2nd, the 2016 Bellagio Conservatory Holiday Show lit up the night at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The name of this year’s Holiday/Christmas/Winter theme is Bellagio Central Station. You want pics and videos, right? You didn’t scroll yet? Ok, then, here’s more facts from their website:

  • 34,000 Flowers including varieties of Poinsettias, Azalea’s, Cyclamen, and Ottowa Mums.
  • 750 Shrubs including Buxus Winter Gem, Swanes Golden, Silver King, Ilex, Argenteomarginata, Juniper, Picea, Mugo Pine, Capitata, Golden Globe, and Green Beauty.
  • 25 Silver Tip Trees from Mt. Lassen California

My wife and I stopped by on December 1st, but things were not quite ready yet. The tree wasn’t lit and from what she told me (because I didn’t want to peek too much before it was ready) not a lot of things were lit. The next day I saw the date change from the 1st as the opening date to the 2nd on the Bellagio Conservatory’s website, so we knew it was time.

And now… The 2016 Bellagio Conservatory Holiday Show

I wish the pictures of the tree could do it justice, but unless you’re looking at the images on a 42-foot screen, it won’t. The tree is gorgeous, the whole conservatory just overwhelms with holiday (Christmas, as there isn’t a July 4th tree) cheer and the warm fuzzies that the holiday season tends to evoke in me. The 2016 Bellagio Conservatory Holiday Show runs through January 2nd, 2017.

  1. Their attention to detail is always unreal. I love to stroll through this every time I am in town (be there this week in fact!). I hope and pray that this space is never turned into a money grab restaurant, bar, nightclub, etc.
