ANNOUNCEMENT: Back on Monday 8/14, New Chief Editor

VegasBright will be back Monday 8/14 with a new Chief Editor. Going forward, LasVegasJunkie is the new Chief Editor of VegasBright. LasVegasJunkie has a background in editing for a multi-writer blog and is looking forward taking the Chief Editor reigns here at VegasBright. All current writers will remain with us and continue to bring you their Vegas experiences. My role will be more behind the scenes as I will continue on with keeping the site running, paying the bills, writing an article here and there and I’ll eventually bring back the podcast.

I came really close to shutting down the site completely, but, VegasBright is what it is because of everyone here and the readers who keep coming back. It wouldn’t be fair to our writers, contributors (we’re all volunteers by the way) and readers if VB ceased to exist.

Also, a big thank you to everyone who shared your sympathies and words of condolence as my wife and I have been grieving the loss of Sundae. We found encouragement and healing in your comments and well wishes. Each day is a struggle emotionally but we are supporting each other each and every day and keeping Sundae’s memory alive.

-Michael Movestro

Chief Editor

Founder/Author/Podcast Host

  1. How thoughtful of you to think of all of us during this when this should be furthest from your mind. Your heart is just WAY TOO big but we all appreciate you as you can see from everyone’s comments re: Sundae. Glad to have it back and hope to see you share a post here and there when your ready. You’re appreciated. Thank you LasVegasJunkie and all contributors.

    1. Well said jackie, and I echo every bit of it. THANK YOU and continued best wishes to you, Michael.

  2. Thanks for the update, Mr. Movestro. Glad the site will continue & that the kind words of the commenters were a source of some solace to you & your family. Sending positive vibes & warmest wishes.

  3. It’s the right thing to do. Closing the site would have been selfish. Vegas Bright is what it is because of all of us so in a way, it’s everyone’s.

  4. This is great news! I was already really missing VB. So sorry for your loss and thank you for bringing a little bit of Vegas to my life every day.

  5. Sorry for your loss Michael. I appreciate you looking out for us in your time of sorrow.

  6. I’m sorry for your loss Michael, pets do have a special way of getting into our hearts. On the other side, I’m super happy to hear that VB will be coming back. I love all things Vegas and VB was my daily dose of information and fun – can’t wait for it’s return.

  7. I follow you from Italy since I casually find VegasBright in some vegas blog searches.

Thanks for not giving up and for the content about vegas that you made in the past and I hope in the future.

  8. Thank you for being so thoughtful and considerate towards your readers during this awful time. I’ve been thinking of you and your wife and Sundae (I loved your podcasts that you and Angie did together) and I hope we’ll still hear from you! You’re a gem!

  9. Thank you for keeping the site up. I’m one of many who love the stories but never comment. Here to say I support your decision either way as I’m sure its a lot of work, even behind the scenes.

  10. Thanks for keeping the site going. I know you filled a big void when you stepped in for Vegas Chatter.

  11. So so pleased to read this news, just arrived back in the UK after a holiday in Florida….. Off to LV in Nov :)

Thank you so much to all…………..
