Orleans Courtyard Cafe Closes, Renovates, Now Copper Whisk
Copper Whisk replaces Courtyard Cafe at The Orleans Las Vegas
The Courtyard Cafe, a beloved favorite of locals and tourists alike for their $6.99 Steak and Eggs, is no more. Wiped away from the dining selections on The Orleans website, to forever join “Lost Vegas.” It’s always a surprise to me when a place that is well established and has a loyal following closes up shop. I could speculate it being rent, or maybe the Orleans is continuing to redefine it’s dining options. Taking its place is Copper Whisk Cafe.
Our tipster paperposter got these pics:
So what does the Copper Whisk offer up? Do they have decent steak and eggs? I’m here to help with that.
But first, here’s their PR speak:
Join us in the all-new Copper Whisk Cafe. Open 24 hours, we have a menu that is sure to entice any palate. Serving breakfast specialties all day, as well as lunch and dinner fare, there is always something to satisfy you. Share a Pastry Sampler featuring Danish pastries and breakfast muffins, or maybe try one of our fluffy omelets. Don’t feel like breakfast? Try our Philly French Dip or one of our juicy burgers from our Burger Bar Selection. We also offer our Aloha Island Specialties all day, featuring a Hawaiian Breakfast, our guest favorite Oxtail Soup, and more.
Safe to say Copper Whisk serves up Hawaiian and mainland American specialties. But, back to Steak and Eggs. Copper Whisk has two variations of the beloved duo, and it’ll cost more than $6.99
Here’s option A;
And, here’s option B:
Well, there you have it. Both of these items appear on both the Breakfast and Lunch Menu (PDF) and the Parlor Dining Menu (PDF). However, as I was perusing through the food items, something caught my eye:
I am going to need to do a burger review on this, absolutely. And also this:
Although it isn’t a burger, Oxtail is close to my heart. It reminds me of a very special time in my life, and the two Jamaicans who practically raised me in my formative years. Oxtail Soup, as well as beef patties, ginger beer, jerk pork and jerk chicken (hey now, hey, it’s an actual non-perverted thing) were key, yo! That’s a story for another time.
And with that, R.I.P $6.99 Steak and Eggs *places Golden Knights hat over heart in respect*

Darn it! It hits me hard when an off-strip-but-close-enought-to-strip favorite starts charging strip prices!!!
As somebody who has stayed at the Orleans numerous times, I would hit up the cafe a couple of times during every trip. Perhaps those days are over.
there totaly making the whole place over .i will say there resturants are getting alot better and really nice.
but a local tip u cant beat the oyster bar there
the $6.99 steak and egg special was a favorite of mine. it really hurts when your Vegas favorites and traditions keep getting yanked from you. yes, I know change is inevitable. it is a waste of time and emotion to get attached to anything in Vegas. they will pull the rug from under you! :-(
I will be there to play the Keno machines in a month. Any advice?
Have fun!
