Resorts World Update: Cranes On Site in March of this Year

Resorts World construction should have “full project mobilization” in March 2017.

It looks as though one of our Vegas Wishes for 2017 may indeed come true, actual legit construction on the Resorts World site. Finally! As work platforms have been added to the Resorts World site, it is realistically a sign of better things to come. I was reading between the lines of this article on LVRJ to find this gem:

A worker on the site said the platform would be used to inspect scaffolding on a tower construction site in advance of construction cranes being placed there in March. The worker said the company has bids for five cranes, but no signed contracts. Cranes are in short supply as a result of out-of-state construction projects.

See the end of that first line? The part where it says “…in advance of construction cranes being placed there in March,” that part?! MARCH! I know, I know there’s a lot of “I’ll believe it when I see it” out there. You’re right, and I can’t blame you. Also, perhaps a little bit of “Construction cranes don’t mean they’ll finish; there used to be construction cranes at Skyview” and, again, can’t blame you there.

Resorts World

If anything at least there is some indication that they are indeed planning on doing something besides touting their parking garage, and views from said parking garage, which I found to be quite embarrassing for the PR person charged with the task.

Can you imagine? “Make this parking structure look like an amazing thing even though it’s a parking structure; we need to get people excited! Take a picture of the view from each floor so people know what their cars will see!” I can almost hear the sigh and groan the social media person had when assigned this task. Poor thing.

Seriously.

Well, I went off on a tangent there. Back to Resorts World. If anything we can now have a little more hope that Resorts World will begin its construction climb of 56 stories, bringing us a new resort/casino experience sometime in 2019. My fingers are crossed!

  1. I keep my hopes up every time with this project at least there working on it i am hoping not only we see new construction on it we get more details on what will be in it i read what they have planned it changes some what and i am glade for this project

  2. Maybe they can generate revenue by renting out the parking garage to movie productions for car chase scenes and such over the next 2 years.

  3. I emailed their contact email on the website almost a year ago…they responded TEN MONTHS LATER with essentially no update….we’ll see what happens. My original email and their reply below.
