Foot-longs and Tall Boys are the Latest “My Vegas Musts”

Reader Dan L. guides us through a Chandelier to his Wheel of Fortune…

I’ve really enjoyed everyone’s “Vegas Musts” list, so I thought I’d share mine.

I fly in from Minneapolis anywhere from three to six times a year. That’s thanks to Total Rewards room offers and an eagle eye on flight pricing.

musts

The first must is grabbing a cold Tall Boy PBR at the Liquor Library inside of McCarran (near baggage claim) then making my way to grab a curbside limo. I’m typically traveling with three people, making the price breakdown tolerable. Right after check-in, it’s off to the nearest Wheel of Fortune “Ultra Wheel” video slot for a few spins and beverage.

Musts

Chandelier Bar at Cosmopolitan

Within my stay (usually four days) I’ll walk the Strip for musts like the Mirage volcano, Bellagio fountain show and a stop at the Chandelier Bar at Cosmo. The go-to food stops start with Earl of Sandwich at Planet Hollywood and most recently Wahlburgers outside of Bally’s. Casino Royale has my favorite Wheel of Fortune, which I’ve dubbed “The Mothership”…and a cheap foot-long hot dog.

Musts

AmeriCAN Beer Bar at Linq Promenade

For the last night’s musts, I’ll find myself on the High Roller‘s “Happy Half-Hour” for the awesome views, followed by beer pong and drinks at AmeriCAN Beer Bar in the Linq Promenade.

Before the flight home, I’ll have a hearty breakfast at the Wynn Buffet and start planning my return!

    1. You’re definitely paying for convenience – tall boys are around $5, decent selection too. Usually on Fridays they have free tastings.
