Parisian Macao Opens on China’s Cotai Strip
Adelson’s “Paris” Wannabe Opens in Macao
Albeit a much grander wannabe.
Yesterday, Sands China’s ‘The Parisian” opened in Macao. At the cost of $3 Billion, the property features a 1/2 scale replica of the Eiffel Tower (shocking) and has Versailles-themed interiors (shocking again). With its home on the Cotai strip, The Parisian is surrounded by other Vegas familiarities, like a Venetian and a Wynn.
Construction started in 2013; the end result features 3,000 hotel suites. Also, 450 table games and 2,500 slot machines.
Per Reuters:
“Hundreds of hotel rooms are set to bolster the convention and exhibition business, while a rotating Broadway-style show and child attractions are features aimed squarely at luring holiday makers other than hard-core gamblers.”
Here’s what you can expect from the mid-tier Eiffel Tower Room:
- 33 square metres
- View of the Eiffel Tower
- King-size bed or two queen beds
- The Parisian Macao signature bath products
- 55” HDTV
- Bathroom with shower and bathtub
- Wardrobe
- Hairdryer
- Iron and ironing board
- Fully stocked minibar
- In-room safe
- Complimentary wireless and wired Internet access
Here’s a look at the pool/water kingdom their calling “Aqua World and Hotel Pool.”
One of their main shows is “Thriller Live” which reminds me a bit of MJ Live for some odd reason. No idea why.
Direct from London’s West End where it is now in its eighth year, the constantly evolving show, which has been performed over 5,000 shows and seen by over 4 million people in more than 30 countries continues to moonwalk around the world and is now finally in Macao. -Parisian Macao
Amongst other food spots at Parisian is Le Buffet
Discover a marketplace of European delicacies, all carefully prepared by the chefs manning each station. Watch as they pull the ingredients from the countertops and prepare your food before your eyes. Le Buffet is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, always ready to cater to your every culinary whim and desire. – Parisian Macao
Shops, complete with painted sky…
And of course, there’s its Eiffel Tower (cover) which is, admittedly, gorgeous.
There’s also a video of the light show here (on the lower left). More information, pics, and video can be found on the Parisian Macao website.
