New “Author For a Day” Challenge: Vegas Musts

Vegas Bright’s new “Author For a Day” Challenge: Vegas Musts

Back on Episode 16 of the Vegas Bright Podcast, I announced a new Author For A Day Challenge: Vegas Musts! These Author For a Day challenges let you, the reader, take the author spotlight for an article of your own.

What are Vegas Musts?

Good question! I always ask myself good questions. Vegas Musts are those things you absolutely MUST do when you’re in Vegas. We all have them, and I’m sure you do too! If you love Vegas, this is probably one of the easiest things to write about, and we’d like to hear what your Vegas Musts are! The format is simple, three paragraphs or more, tell us what your musts are and why they are, and send it to this email address. Alternatively, you can type it out from our Contact Us page and send it through there. Maybe you have a long list? Perfect, make a long list! Got pics to go with your story? Send them in to, if not, no worries.

I’ll get the ball rolling on this one…

My Vegas Musts are the following:

I must, if at all possible have a Strip View. I would love to do a Cosmopolitan Terrace Suite or Wrap-Around Suite one day, but wherever I’m staying, I must have a strip view. I like being able to throw open the curtains and say good morning to the strip. I also like to look at the strip and say goodnight to it when I’m finally heading to bed. Don’t judge; it’s love. It isn’t a view I can get at home, and the strip is one of the most entertaining and inspiring views I could ask for. In my eyes, it is picturesque and perfect.

I must have gelato from Palio Pronto while watching a Bellagio Fountain show (or two, or three) on a hot summer night, this experience is my happy place. When I have to go to my happy place in my mind, that’s where I go. One cup containing one scoop of vanilla and one scoop of mango. Palio Pronto (not to be confused with “Palio Cafe”, or “Cafe Gelato”) is right inside the Bellagio from the street level entrance on Flamingo. Head into the doors and look for the little flags. Its proximity to the fountains is unparalleled, and the gelato won’t melt on the way to the fountains.

See? It’s right there!

I must have the Cowboy Rib Eye Steak at Gallagher’s Steakhouse at the NY-NY. Must. The steak is dry-aged to perfection, cooked however you’d like. It’s just so delicious, the meaning of life on my tongue. I’ve been going to Gallagher’s since my very first Vegas Trip in 2009…and just by typing that sentence I realized I never wrote a “First Vegas Trip” article. Nonetheless, I did write an article about Gallagher’s. The atmosphere of Gallagher’s digs into it’s New York City roots, where the very first NY Strip Steak was served, at Gallagher’s in New York City.
