Greg C: Riviera Photo Update of Post-Implosion Pile, Demolition Progress

Surveying the post-implosion and continuous demolition views of the Riviera site…

About a week ago I had the privilege an honor to meet up with Greg C in person. Although we’ve worked together for almost a year now, we’ve never met in person before last week. We had lunch and then dashed over to the Riviera to survey the post-demolition pile, and the progress being made on the other structures. I took a few pics as well, but, not quite Greg C quality. In many ways, pictures are worth a thousand words, so I’ll let the pictures do (most of) the talking.

The LVCVA plans to turn the footprint of the Riviera into outdoor exhibit space. The next implosion is scheduled for August where the MonteCarlo tower will come down, it also appears the adjoining smaller structures might be imploded with the Monte Carlo tower as workers have exposed the lower support beams of those buildings.
