Wahlburgers opens a bar and retail kiosk ahead of its restaurant at Grand Bazaar Shops…

If you’re like me, you’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of Wahlburgers at Grand Bazaar shops. The famed burger restaurant made famous by the Wahlbergs and the reality TV show has had a ‘Coming Soon’ for quite some time at Bally’s Grand Bazaar Shops. Recently, another level was added to the originally slated structure and is still a work in progress. Fast forward to late last week –boom–yet another Wahlburgers location popped up at Grand Bazaar Shops.

This one is smaller and much closer to the strip. One thing was missing – the smell of burgers. I asked the rep what the deal was, and here’s the skinny: this smaller location is the Bar & Retail section. The restaurant and (another) bar will be at the larger structure neighboring the Starbucks (and future Giordano’s) adjoined to the future Redneck Riviera. The time-frame given was “in a couple of weeks.”

Here’s how it went down…

Wahlburger girl: Hi, how can I help you?

Me: Where’s the burgers?

Wahlburger girl: We don’t have any yet.

Me: Is this a promotional kiosk?

Wahlburger girl: No, this is a bar and retail section.

Me: When and where will there be burgers?

Wahlburger girl: That will be at the bigger section *points east* in a couple of weeks. It will be the restaurant and another bar.

Me: ooooOOOOOOooooh ok!

So to be clear, there are technically two locations, but you won’t get burgers at both. The kiosk closest to the strip is Bar and Retail only. The larger dual-story structure will be a restaurant with a second bar. This one here:

My guess is this move is to put the Wahlburgers brand closer to the strip, where the Wahlburger staff will happily point customers to the food location. Makes sense, to me, anyways.
