Meizhou Dongpo Coming to the Grand Canal Shops
Meizhou Dongpo aims to serve up authentic Szechuan cuisine, direct from China.
The Venetian has a lot going on when it comes to future openings. From Royce, Mercato Della Pescheria, Sugarcane, and now Meizhou Dongpo. Meizhou has multiple locations in China, and one location in the U.S. Fun fact: and they also catered the 2008 Olympics.
From their website:
“Since 1996, Meizhou Dongpo has been serving millions of its customers from over 100 locations across China. An industry leader and innovator Meizhou aspires to “cook for the world”, Meizhou is dedicated in modernizing and perfecting the artistry and traditions of Sichuanese cuisine. In 2013, Meizhou arrived in Los Angeles, proudly introducing the authentic and innovative Sichuanese cuisine and the Meizhou Dongpo experience to a table near you.”
Don’t expect the food to be the typical Chinese food you’re accustomed to. Meizhou’s will be as authentic as it is in China, not the Americanised versions we have here.
The location consists of 18,000 square feet, will feature a lounge and views of the strip.

Over 100 locations? So we’re getting their version of TGI Fridays?
