Vegas on Two Wheels: Topgolf Las Vegas

Greg Bennett goes from riding to driving at Topgolf Las Vegas!

Last week I had a special opportunity from Vegasbright.com as I was invited to turn over my V-twin and hit a few golf balls over at Las Vegas’ hottest new attraction! This week’s Vegas on Two Wheels is Topgolf Las Vegas!

Topgolf Las Vegas is a privately-owned concept behind the Signature at MGM Grand (MGM oversees the sports book and video slots). It’s very simple to get to since it’s right next to the MGM Grand’s parking garage off of Koval Street, just east of Las Vegas Blvd. For the most part, the ride is smooth but stop and go since you are crossing over the Blvd. But Koval Street is not as maintained as the main streets surrounding it. Though you are only on Koval for 30 seconds before taking a left into the Topgolf Parking lot, as soon as you begin your lean onto Koval from Tropicana, it gets a little tricky. The pavement is uneven, cracked and poorly maintained which leads to a very bumpy ride and with all the traffic on that road; it can be a little nerve-racking navigating.

As soon as I turned into the Topgolf parking lot, I felt as if I was transformed into a high-class figure of Las Vegas. The staff was outside to greet me and help me to my parking space. As a perk, my bike was treated to a space that wasn’t really a space right next to the structure. The area was so well lit and with all of the staff assisting in parking cars, I felt more than comfortable leaving my gear on the motorcycle rather than bringing in my gear. The building itself is beautiful but is positioned perfectly to offer breathtaking views of the Las Vegas skyline.

Topgolf is the hottest new concept on the Las Vegas scene. It’s a four-level entertainment venue with interactive golf games and balls that score themselves! It features climate-controlled hitting bays, hundreds of HDTVs, a stage for live concerts, water features with cabanas, dynamic event spaces and more.

The first two levels are for families and kids/teens/minors who want to enjoy hitting a few balls eating, and drinking away from the more adult/ single business crowd. The top two floors are run like a high-class cabana area complete with full bars, bottle service, private pools and VIP areas. These two floors are more for the adults only. 21+ only are allowed on these floors which allow you to relax and let loose without the frustration of kids potentially screaming or crying around your bay.

Topgolf has full bars on every floor and a full kitchen with delectable bites! The chef-driven Topgolf kitchen and bars deliver a fresh twist on your familiar favorites like BBQ pulled pork sandwiches with an Asian twist or Mexican lobster rolls with a spritz of lime. Local brews are on tap plus, unexpected new creations! My vote is for the house Mojito! Cold, refreshing with a citrus and mint blend will have your taste-buds dancing for joy and your head slightly spinning after two!

The staff members are more than I could ever ask for! Two staff members are assigned to each bay. This allows one to grab drinks and the other to grab food for your party. They were both very informative about how to play each game loaded into the flat screen display of each bay.

They also gave us a few pointers on how to drive the ball if you have never golfed before….like myself. Yeah, I know living in Vegas, one of the top 10 places in the country for golf, I should know how to hit a golf-ball. Don’t judge! I know how to ride not drive hahaha.

My friends and I had such an incredible time hitting golf balls, playfully competing, sipping tantalizingly tasteful cocktails, munching on mouth-watering eats and enjoying live music. All of this while we were 75 feet in the air over the splendor of Sin City.

  1. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for this. I’ve been reading and waiting. The pics are AMAZING. This is really beautiful and cant wait to try it out. Do the balls come back to you like skeeball (prob not) or do you have to get new balls from the front desk? No other article mentioned why there were 4 levels. Not I see it’s because of the age restrictions. What stops someone from walking off the top? So if I understand correctly each and every section gets a waitress? That’s pretty awesome. Are the prices per group/party? What is the max per section? What time does it close? I guess I can get all this from the website HA! Thanks again Greg. I appreciate it
