T-Mobile Arena Ads Abound in Vegas

Less than two weeks away…yes, we’re counting.

Advertisements have been popping up, on many a taxi, on many a bus as the opening date of T-Mobile Arena approaches April 6th. Our tipster paperposter sent in the pic (above) and said:

“These are all over the place!”

And, they are. One thing that caught my eye is that the arena has a new website domain name: t-mobilearena.com although the original (with the same content) is still up: arenalasvegas.com

T-Mobile Arena

The T-Mobile Arena has come a long way, from just an idea to a full-blown concept. Even the hockey rumor mill is running again. Football rumors as well.  One thing is certain; the new arena means the potential of many things to many people. Oh, yeah, and Seats3d has this very cool interactive look around the inside.

T-Mobile Arena and The Park

Per the arena website, here are some upcoming events:

  • THE KILLERS – 4/6
  • GUNS N’ ROSES – 4/8-4/9
  • HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS – 4/19
  • GEORGE STRAIT – 4/22-4/23
  • BILLY JOEL – 4/30
  • CANELO VS. KHAN – 5/7
  • JANET JACKSON – 5/14
  • GARTH BROOKS – 6/24-6/25
  • GARTH BROOKS – 7/2-7/4
  • UFC 200 – 7/9
  • DIXIE CHICKS – 7/16
  • GEORGE STRAIT – 9/9-9/10
  • KEITH URBAN – 10/21
  • 2016 PBR WORLD FINALS – 11/2-11/6
  • GEORGE STRAIT – 12/2-12/3
  • GEORGE STRAIT – 2/17-2/18/17

In retrospect, it’s odd (or maybe “endearing”) that when I was a New Yorker, I wasn’t as excited about the Yankees or Mets getting their new stadiums as I am about Las Vegas getting their new arena.
