Topgolf: Coming Soon and Under Construction

Topgolf, the high-tech four level driving range under construction behind MGM Grand is taking shape.

The driving range isn’t only a driving range. Topgolf was envisioned by its creators, the Joliffe brothers, as a new technology-enabled version of a driving range where they can have a great time while playing their favorite game. The technology starts with microchipped golf balls and targets on an outfield allowing the keeping of scores and logging of distance and the end of an age-old gripe–you’ll actually know (with accuracy) where your ball landed.

Topgolf Las Vegas will feature:

  • four levels
  • five bars
  • two kitchens
  • concert venue
  • two swimming pools
  • private event spaces
  • retail shop
  • Callaway club fitting center and
  • 108 climate-controlled hitting bays

The fourth level will have VIP areas and water features. From the press release:

“The Topgolf atmosphere features a high-energy, interactive sports and entertainment experience never-before-seen in Las Vegas, our partners have proven themselves as a successful brand in multiple markets nationwide and we look forward to our future relationship.” -MGM Grand President & COO Scott Sibella

The renderings from Topgolf’s website look impressive.

It’ll be interesting to see how well this new take on the driving range will play through in Las Vegas. With the right kind of atmosphere and scores of interactive games, it may just be a hole in one. Topgolf is scheduled to open in late May of 2016.

  1. The renderings do look pretty amazing. I’ve heard good things about this place. Not a golf person but even my non golfing friends say its fun

  2. They have one of these where I live. I’m not a golfer, but it’s a lot of fun.

No swimming pools at the ones here though. That ought to be an interesting twist.

    1. just took a look at the video and sent it to my crew of 8 who went with me in 2016. this looks super fun!!! i mean who knew golf would be so dope!
