‘Las Vegas Good News’ Filming Weekly at The LINQ

For audience members, Las Vegas Good News provides a free, fun experience if you’ve got 3 hours to kill on a Thursday.

Jeff Civilico will be hosting a weekly entertainment/news TV show called Las Vegas Good News. LVGN –let’s call it LVGN for short– will tape in front of a live audience at The LINQ Promenade fountain stage every Thursday night from 5-8pm. The show will air weekends on Channel 13, (the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas) and in-room throughout Caesars Entertainment properties as well as other strip hotels.

When describing the show, Jeff says: “Think Good Morning America meets The Tonight Show meets The Price Is Right.” That should be interesting. Another interesting part is the custom designed LVGN stage. It’s a 25-foot shipping container modified to serve as the show’s stage and set. The Shipping/stage..hmm..I’ll call that “The Shage.” Yes. The Shage.

The Shage will be craned in every Thursday for taping and then lifted out afterward.

Here’s what you can expect:

“Each taping, in essence, is a big party out at The LINQ Promenade with live bands playing, entertainers performing, and interactive contests with opportunities for audience members to win prizes, swag, and discount offers. Set up begins after the stage has been dropped and visitors walking the strip become spectators anticipating showtime. As our live band starts rockin’ and cameras get into place, tourists are selected to be a part of the show. Everyone watching has the chance to get discounts, grab swag, win prizes, and a chance to get their 15 minutes of fame.” – Jeff Civillico

Jeff has lots of different segments planned for the show, including “60 Second Wedding” where Jeff will officiate a wedding ceremony live on the show. Also, the Highroller PODcast, where he will take a celebrity up for a one-spin rotation on the High Roller while conducting a quick-fire interview. I’m not sure if the audience gets to go along for that, or if they’ll be watching via the flatscreens on the stage. I guess the latter.

The show tapes Thursdays from 5 pm – 8 pm starting February 18th.
