Vegas on Two Wheels: Harley Davidson Café
It’s another week and another ride to a bar and grill made for the biker…supposedly. This weekend I kicked up my stand and ripped the throttle over to the Harley Davidson Café. This café is a cinch to ride out to. It is right on the Las Vegas Blvd. on the corner of Koval. It sits around the Planet Hollywood, New York New York, Cosmo, and Monte Carlo.
The outside of this place is like no other! When you have a massive replica of a Harley classic road king coming out of the second story above the Las Vegas Blvd, you have created a unique establishment.
The outside of the café reminded me of a classic 50’s diner. Red neon lights line the first and second stories with black, white and silver colors complimenting the blinking lights. Outdoor seating complete with misters, and heat lamps for chilly or hot days sit under a huge sign laced with neon flames. It was early when I arrived, so the crowds were small.
The inside was impressive. From the bar to the two-story American flag made of chain link, this place screamed motorcycle mecca!
But what took the cake for me was the suspended conveyor that held Harleys from what seemed to be the new 2016 models. Did it work you ask? I asked, and they said they use it to switch out the bikes all the time! I thought it was incredibly fantastic and with the custom gas tanks and photos documenting the history of Harley Davidson and famous people on Harleys. The visual experience was fulfilling.
I got there around 10:30 am and was surprised to hear that they serve breakfast! I grabbed a table and ordered a coffee. Their breakfast menu wasn’t extensive but was sufficient for my taste. Unfortunately, the meal wasn’t that great. I ordered a meat lovers omelet for $14, that is filled with Bacon, sausage, and brisket. What I got was a bacon and sausage omelet about the size of half my hand with some runny potatoes. My opinion, this is not the place for a first meal of the day….unless your first meal is lunch and in that case, HEAD ON OVER!
Now, I did not order lunch but what I saw pass me several times throughout my mediocre omelet, were some incredible looking and smelling burgers. They were stacked high with all the fixin’s and a mound of fries that made my mouth water and cringe at my own plate. I will be back and report if these burgers tasted as good as they looked and smelled.
Overall, my experience was… O.K. The service was good the decor was spot on, and it looks like lunch and dinner is killer. Breakfast, not the greatest and the Harley Davidson Café does have a parking garage, but you do have to pay, and it is only cash. However, if you eat at the café and ask your waitress to stamp your receipt, you can collect your car or bike along with your 10$ you had to give up for parking.
This is one of Harley Davidson’s trademark locations and for the avid biker in Vegas, I think it is a stop worth checking out. It’s not an all-day affair and, in fact, really worth stopping in for lunch or a fast dinner. Just hold off breakfast for a different location. This spot is iconic to the strip, a quick ride, and I think a selfie and a bite to eat are always worthwhile on two wheels!

That was my experience with it. The bikes and decor were way cool. My lunch was overpriced and meh.
In a town with so much to offer food wise, there’s just much better options.
I was going to eat there when I was in town last. But there was a water main leak in front of the place which shut the restaurant down. So I ate at the hardrock. I might try it when im in town in march. Thanks for the info.
The dollar sign is in front of the numerals!
Thanks Tony!
