MGM’s The Park Opens April 4th
The Park between Monte Carlo and the NYNY has been slated for an April 4th opening, MGM Resorts announced.
What was originally slated to be a synchronised opening with T-Mobile Arena (April 6th), has changed to The Park (what a name) having an early opening day two days prior. I guess April 6th wasn’t big enough for two openings.
“Today’s consumer wants to sample, to experience, to discover – it’s no longer about visiting one resort and staying there. With this in mind, we’ve created a neighborhood environment that invites our guests to explore many of our resorts on the Strip’s west side, collecting experiences along the way, with The Park serving as a central gathering space for people to relax, dine and be entertained.” – MGM CEO Jim Murren
Also described as an “authentic oasis,” it will feature patio seating, and water features which include “water walls” which stretch over 100 feet in length from the entrance. The shade structures will provide LED light sequences from above.
Their website mentions:
“The art and horticulture programs for The Park are inspired by the desert landscape…”
Oh. Really? Not Artic Tundra? Well if anything, it’ll be something like “sitting in the desert at a park with no name…”
Food spots include Bruxie – a place for waffle sandwiches, really! California Pizza Kitchen, self-explained. Also, Sake Rok -a place for sushi and sake.
One more thing, later on, today when the tune of “Sittin’ In The Desert” is stuck in your head….you’re welcome. :)

Exciting! Is it just a park or will there be shops like in front of Bally’s?
Mostly a park, but there will be eateries around it.
thank u
Do you mean “will there be empty storefronts like in front of Bally’s?”
