Harrah's Mardi Gras room

Harrah’s Mardi Gras Room Tour/Review (Video)

I’m  not sure why I thought 2:30 am was a good time to do a room review, but here it is. On my most recent trip, I stayed at Harrah’s in a Mardi Gras Room (King). It was surprising, both good and bad. Background songs by yours truly.

  1. Have stayed at Harrahs a lot recently. They are frequently the lowest-priced room in the Caesars menu (usually $28 on non-event weekdays, plus $28 resort fee through my Total Rewards account). Thank goodness they haven’t fallen into Imperial Palace-level awfulness as a result. Those air vents, though….noisy and covered with enough fuzzy dust to build an Ewok costume. This is the smallest of their rooms that I’ve seen. Nice workout facility within their spa on the fourth floor. Pleasant, basic, relatively easy in/out from their garage via the Linq/High Roller rear entrance (that underground tunnel from the Strip to the rear of the property has the highest speed bump west of the Mississippi). Nice review and COOL MUSIC….

  2. I’m not convinced this isn’t the exact same room we stayed in a couple months back! If not the same – very, very close. Does every room have the dead fridge?! What a ridiculous waste of space. Our room was similarly not quite clean. The cardboard coasters were kind of wet and there was some kind of red juice or wine spilled on top of our fridge obelisk. I dig the view, but would it kill them to clean the windows? Our volcano view was hindered a bit by the foggy, water spotted glass. God knows the price is – often – right, but I was happy to hear about the upcoming renovations.

    Thanks for the review!

  3. The problem with the A/C unit is it cuts off while you are asleep. You wake up hot and have to wave your arm to get it going again. This is why I won’t stay at Harra’s again.

  4. I feel if you want just a touch above Harrah’s you can stay @ Bally’s as an FYI…..bc at Bally’s although the rooms are a bit dated they are bigger and very clean and the noisy HVAC never shuts off for 24/7 white noise! :-D

    I HEART BALLY’s! ha
