Vegas Collections: Sailordude’s Poker Chips
I have been traveling to Vegas since 2008. That first trip had me hooked, and I will always remember proposing to my (now) wife out front of the Bellagio at 3:00 am. A street performer came up to us and played ‘Somewhere over the rainbow’ on his harmonica (we later danced to that song at our wedding).
Since 2008, I make my twice a year pilgrimage to Sin City. Once in the Spring with my wife and some of our friends, and then once in the fall with ‘The Guys’. Every time I am in town (or anywhere with a casino) I make sure I pick up a couple of $1 poker chips to add to my collection. Last year for Christmas my wife bought me this case to display them all, the perfect gift for both of us. I like to display my collection, and she was tired of poker chips spread out all over the house.
My favourite chip is, definitely, the original O’Shea’s chip. I’m glad I have that one! I also like that I have a chip from the Imperial Palace, the Quad, and the Linq. I will keep adding to my collection and always look forward to my next Vegas trip to pick up some more!
What chip is your favourite?
