MGM Grand: Beacher’s Madhouse Is Pretty Much Nonexistent
Just over a month ago we reported on the development of a Jabbawockeez shared space with Beacher’s Madhouse. To reiterate: Beacher’s (the venue) would get a renovation, and then Jabbawockeez would move into the Beacher’s Madhouse venue, which would share shows for both Jabbawockeez and Beacher’s Madhouse. Our informant paperposter sent us new pics. We couldn’t help notice that there’s a lot of Wockeez, and not so much Beacher’s.
The Jabbawockeez first show at the new venue is November 2nd. Although the Beacher’s Madhouse website shows a Grand Opening in the space for this month, we get a message saying the show does not exist when we try to purchase a ticket.
I was able to go through the process of a Jabbawockeez ticket purchase just fine. So I headed over to MGM’s site, trying to get Beacher’s Madhouse tickets that way…the show has no performances for the rest of the year. October is pictured below.
Beacher’s Las Vegas website also shows that they are ‘always sold-out for previews’. They’ve been saying that since 2014. That’s a long time for previews; and a bad sign. Note: Paperposter hears that this space will be used as an intimate concert space for special occasions.
I’m just going to say that it doesn’t look likely that Beacher’s Madhouse (the show or club) will be making a regularly scheduled comeback at MGM any time soon. Perhaps as a special occasion thing (like New Year’s) but when you look at the new design of the venue, there is only a slight sign that Beacher’s is even there, and it’s this one:
The lone Beacher’s Madhouse sign perched on a corner of a space that was once solely dedicated to it. That being said, the new shared venue is very Jabbawockeez but not much Beacher’s Madhouse. With the lack of functioning ability to purchase a Beacher’s show ticket and no show dates available for the rest of the year… one has to wonder if Beacher’s will have anything other than a name in Las Vegas.
