New Supper Club Opens Tonight In L.V. Gay District

The hip and unique offerings along the Fremont East District have been spreading outward, bringing VegeNation, GluttonThe Venue and a growing list of shops and services to nearby streets. Now the area crowned by Inspire Theater appears to have…er, inspired…a new supper club venue in the Vegas Gay District.

Club Unity is the latest in a line of LGBTQ and gay-friendly businesses in the area of Las Vegas affectionately called the “Fruit Loop”. The best-known of these is Piranha Nightclub, with long-time favorite Freezone right across the street.

Fruit Loop, which was officially sanctioned in 1977, is located along Paradise Road near Tropicana Avenue. The new venue expands the footprint of Fruit Loop eastward, and is located at 700 East Naples Drive.

Club Unity hopes to up the ante in this area by offering something more than the traditional dance club or stand-and-model gay bar.  The self-described “supper club” features a full-service restaurant, outdoor patio, dance floor and live entertainment seven days a week.

Garrett Pattiani, owner-operator of Gay.Vegas and Associate Publisher of QVegas Magazine, sees similarities between the Fremont East District and Fruit Loop.  He’s excited about the prospects for Club Unity, the uniqueness of its interior design and the planning that has gone into making it part of a new resurgence for the gay district.

Drag shows are the main attraction at Club Unity, and fans of the now-defunct Lucky Cheng’s Restaurant and Cabaret should be pleased by the return of Miss Conception, who hosts a Sunday Drag Queen Brunch. Doors open at 11am, with showtime at noon. Bottomless mimosas for $17 should ease the guilt over skipping church….or whatever happened the previous evening.

Club Unity launches an official grand opening weekend starting tonight, September 4th, with Diva Toxxx’s Risque Dinner Drag Review at 10pm. It’s followed by Lil QT’s Vaudeville Show on Saturday, also at 10pm…then Drag Brunch on Sunday. A full schedule of nightly events is available here.

Club Unity won’t have a cover charge or entrance fee, but you can reserve your space for grand opening weekend by getting on their guest list here.  Patrons must be 21 and over at all times.
