Nacho Daddy's

Biting in: Nacho Daddy’s

One food item that my wife and I love are nachos. So when I heard Nacho Daddy’s was opening a location on the strip, I was anxious to check it out. I was in town for a conference that my wife was attending through work back in October. It just so happened that the scorpion tank at the entry door had just recently been completed, but no scorpion was onsite yet. We made our way to the bar and took a seat.

I found the layout of the place to be a pretty cool. There was a large tower in the center of the bar with TVs and then also a separate dining area with large projection TVs. While I didn’t make it upstairs, there was a stairway leading to an upper level with seating and windows that would be looking out to Harmon Avenue just before the intersection with Las Vegas Blvd.

I ordered up a Dos Equis and my wife had one of their Skinny Margarita’s.

Our bartender for the day was Becca who was very pleasant and funny. Since it was early afternoon, we decided to try their Fiesta Nachos. They were a hit, and also had some kick to them. One of the cool things Becca informed us about was that Nacho Daddy’s actually chops up the jalapeno peppers that are in the nachos. The result is a great taste, but also has a little kick that builds up over time. That just means round two on the drinks!

After the nachos, we both decided to just skip right to dessert. I ordered the Fried Ice Cream and my wife selected a special Bread Pudding that was colored pink for breast cancer awareness. Both were delicious!

The final thing I have to say about Nacho Daddy’s is something I thought was very special that they are doing to support the community. Nacho Daddy’s regularly donate meals to the hungry in the area through a buy one, give one program. This isn’t something I’ve seen published anywhere and I discovered by looking through the bar menu.

Good food, cool place and charitable, Nacho Daddy’s will be a revisit for sure.

  1. I have been to the downtown location a few times. it is on my list of places to go when I don’t have a comp or coupon to use. always good.

  2. I, too, had a good experience at the downtown location. The portions are decent. My only complaint about downtown is the beer prices are too high for what they are serving.

  3. This sounds like someplace my wife might enjoy. Can you give us a more details as to it’s location?
