Carrot Top Meet and Greet

A Meet and Greet with Carrot Top

Blonde4ever meets one of her favorite comedians at the Carrot Top Meet-N-Greet…

Call me crazy, but I have been to see Carrot Top‘s (aka Scott Thompson) Vegas show five times and was returning for my sixth viewing on my recent trip.

Carrot Top Meet and Greet

No matter how many times I see this show, I always enjoy his self-deprecating, zany humor. His brand of comedy somehow manages to appeal to everyone. He takes a few cheap shots, but you forgive him because he apologizes for them as soon as they are out of his mouth. This time, I was even more excited than usual because not only was I seeing his show, I was going to get to meet him. The show staff told me to be outside the Atrium Theater at exactly 6:55 pm for the Meet and Greet. I was so eager I got confused and showed up at 5:55 pm. It turned out that I was the only one doing the Meet and Greet that night, so Carrot Top decided to do it after the show instead of before. I crouched outside the theater for two hours waiting for the show to begin.

Once I was finally admitted, I was thirsty and made the mistake of buying a giant drink in a souvenir Carrot Top cup. My seat was in Row E, smack dab in the center. As always I enjoyed the show enormously, but before it was over, I realized that I had consumed a little too much fluid. What a quandary. I couldn’t very well ask Carrot Top wait while I made a dash for the bathroom, could I? I decided I couldn’t. I looked sadly at the long row of people I was about to step on, but it couldn’t be helped. I managed to stumble over the row of people, run down the twirly whirly entrance to the theater and made it out to the facilities and back before the show even ended. As it turned out, Carrot Top always showers after his shows, so I had a few extra minutes I didn’t know about.

I was thrilled when he finally poked his head around the door. I realize it is silly to be so excited. Stars are ordinary people just like the rest of us. He was very warm and friendly. He hugged me, and I discovered I am quite a bit taller than he is. I told him how many times I had seen his show and how I missed the snow that he used to make fall on the audience. I loved that! He made a mental note to bring back the snow machine. I also told him that I was going to review his show, and he said he would watch for it. During the Meet and Greet, they also give you a bag containing at CT Tshirt, CT Frisbee, and some stickers. I am now an even bigger fan after meeting him if that is possible. We did a photo shoot, and I will cherish this picture forever.

If you are looking for an evening of laughter on your Vegas trip, make sure to see Carrot Top at the Luxor. You won’t be sorry.

  1. I resisted seeing this show for years but finally went last year. All I can say is my sides hurt and my face was cramped from laughing so hard through the entire show. For people looking for comedy, I now recommend this show to anyone who will listen.

  2. Because of your comments about his show, I went in January. I’m so glad I did! Im not really big on shows or a celebrity fan girl, but now I think I want to do the meet and greet. On my birthday lol. Yeah. That’s how much I loved his show.

  3. Agreed @ RJ. I believe you did a prior review and now I can’t wait to see it as well. Thanks so much. I want to do a meet and greet as we..

  4. So glad you got to experience this!!! That is so cool that you were the only one!!! We did this not long after they started it, and ironically enough, it was when I was seeing his show for the 6th time! There were about 12 people at our M&G, but he still made it a point to spend a good amount of time with each person. I am glad to see that he is still having these, and will more than likely do it again the next time we see his show!!!

Thanks again for sharing your experience!!!

  5. Thank you for this timely article. I have the meet and greet booked for my husband and I in July. Hoping there won’t be too many other people on the same day – my husband would love to have that much time with Carrot Top.

  6. One of the best shows in Vegas, hands down. it’s a must see every time I go. I whole heatedly agree that he is one of the most genuine people around and that he appreciates his fans.
