LINQ Promenade Gift Shop

LINQ Promenade’s former KITSON now a Gift Shop

The former Kitson space is now a gift shop. How thoughtful?

The once-happening boutique chain which closed recently at LINQ Promenade (and everywhere) left a bunch of empty shells in its wake. Now occupied by a gift shop, the building is seeing some action again.

Our tipster paperposter got these pics (header and below):

I would have thought that anything other than a gift shop would have taken up a new rental contract. The LINQ Promenade is usually buzzing with action considering it’s numerous eateries, bars, and shops. Seriously, you can find a gift shop at every casino property (and more). At least, it’s not another Starbucks, but still.

  1. It looks a temporary solution. Some people thought that this space would be occupied by In-N-Out Burger, but it seems that LINQ´s managers want to maintain a balance between commercial and eateries. I hope that they find a new strong tenant to this prime location.

    1. That would have been a good spot for IN-N-OUT! Yet, I could see why they want a balance, otherwise it becomes a big outdoor food court. It would be nice to see a new place get a chance to shine. Kind of like that motorcycle green screen experience that used to be at Carnival Court back in the day. It took a small footprint but provided an experience with it.

    1. I’m not sure, but each hotel has a gift shop (and per EDGeVegas, two Starbucks). I know that just inside the Flamingo right off the promenade is a place that sells fridge magnets that look like food, and then further in is the gift shop. Not sure about outside though.

  2. I think a gift shop is very fitting. It will get alot of foot traffic. Smart to put it there.

  3. Kitson was hilariously priced even for LV. I was not shocked it closed.

People buy this stuff, it wouldn’t surprise me if it stayed open. I’m also surprised there isn’t an ABC or something like that, but my guess is they don’t want someone undercutting them on sales of alcohol.

  4. i go to Vegas a LOT and over the years i’ve probably bought every piece of crap in every gift shop. that’s my thing. So, they’ll get my business. Kitson was overpriced anyway.
